Dinner at Eight has its first dinner at Roast

Last night we hosted Dinner at Eight’s first dinner at Roast. The night got off to a lively start with a glass of champagne followed by some amazing food (the beef was very popular) and great wine. The atmosphere at Roast is fab, as is the Borough Market location. The evening was a wonderful start to this new adventure and we look forward to seeing more of you at our future dinners and events in the coming months. One of the special things about Dinner at Eight is that we would like to tailor the dinners to what you want, whether you like meeting new friends; networking or just love eating out! Do take a look at our website and sign up for a membership. We would love to hear from you if you have any questions or would like to recommend a friend or colleague.

Our Next Dinner

Our next dinner is to be hosted by D8 and Tom from the The Wine Chap on the 29th March. Tom will be pairing six different Sherries with fabulous tapas in the first floor dining room at The Opera Tavern in Covent Garden. The restaurant is in an old grand pub dating back to 1879. The husband and wife team who run The Opera Tavern also own the very successful Salt Yard and Dehesa. The evening will be fun, dipping into large sharing plates with fabulous wine picked by Tom. Oh and by the way it is Sarah’s birthday so worth coming along to celebrate!

Future Events

When you sign up we will be asking you if you prefer noisy Italian places in the middle of town such as Jamies Italian or the exclusive chef’s table at Launceston Place or fabulous Indian street food at Dishoom. We have booked these already as we love them, but please take a look at the calender and see where else we will be dining. Dinner at Eight will also be holding events, so girls take a look at the Powder Room for a night of pampering and bubbles on the 17th May.

Perks

As part of your membership you will receive discounts and special offers from some fantastic companies. When you become a member you receive your membership card and just quote this at all times. The Southsea Wine Company has personally visited their suppliers, ensuring the wine is produced under fair conditions by those with decent working environments. They are happy to offer D8 members 10% discount off their wines.
